Martin Daronnat is Virtual Power Plant Operations Manager, at E.ON.
Martin holds a master´s degree in Energy Engineering from the Ecole des Arts et Métiers of LYON (France). He is currently in charge of the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Operations and VPP Platform Delivery at E.ON.
Before working for E.ON, he worked at Energy Pool, European leader in Demand/Response technologies and operations, operating a few GW of flexibility across the World. He developed a few operating centers in several countries (UK, Japan, South-Korea, Cameroun) and supported many R&D programs focusing on how to better integrate Renewable Energy Sources (RES) to the grid, thanks to demand-side flexibility, or on how to make RES participate into ancillary services.
He accepted to join E.ON in 2016 to develop the VPP Operations. He is today with his colleagues taking care of the operations of 400MW of flexibility and 3GW of RES direct marketing across Europe. Since 2018 he is also responsible for delivering Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions using E.ON’s VPP team knowledge and platform.
Martin will be speaking in the Technical Knowledge Theatres, located within the GPEX Exhibition.
