Albana Ilo is Assistant Professor, Institute of Energy Systems and Electrical Drives, at TU Wien.

Albana Ilo received the M.Sc. degree in power engineering from the University of Tirana, Albanian and the Ph.D. in power engineering from TU Wien, Vienna, Austria. After completing their education (PhD. in power engineering) She was with Siemens AG Austria, where she has established successfully the new topic Distribution Network Analyses in the Development Centre Europe. Ilo has been working as an expert and project lead in many research, development and implementation projects worldwide. Her expertise in “Network analyses and power system management” were crucial to her promotion to Principal Key Expert Consultant. The integration of distributed generation, smart grids and their effects on the transmission and distribution networks is being her research interests. Since October 2013 is she with TU Wien, where she invented the LINK-Paradigm and is promoting the LINK-Solution. In addition, Albana Ilo was increasingly as an independent expert reviewer near the EU commission, energy sector and contributes in ETIP SNET WG1.

Albana Ilo will be speaking within the Technical Knowledge Theatre at the GPEX 2018 Exhibition.
