Eric Bielke

Eric is a Director of Investing. He is based in Houston, TX, and joined the team in 2014.

Eric leads investments at the intersection of industry and the internet. His technology interests include applications of computer vision, the internet of things (IoT), and enterprise mobility in the energy industry. The majority of his investments have been in software as a service (SaaS) and marketplace-based models.

Prior to GE, Eric was an investor at Siemens Venture Capital focused on cybersecurity and energy management including investments in CounterTack, TOA Technologies, Electric Cloud, and PowerIT Solutions. Earlier in his career Eric was a founder at SoCore Energy, a technology-enabled solar energy developer acquired by Edison International.

He currently serves as a board observer at RigUp, Ambyint, and CoolEdge Lighting.

Eric holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he was a Harry Davis Fellow and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Dartmouth College.

In his free time, Eric enjoys playing sports of all types and a never-ending quest for the perfect taco al pastor.
